Small but effective, you will find John and his team cooking up a storm in the Lionsden.
Although compact, his kitchen promises to conjure up a fine tuned selection of tasty meals that hit the spot. Non fussy and a few surprises, here you can eat wholesome and locally sourced traditional pub food.
Ukrainian Menu
During weekdays, we now have a really interesting Ukrainian menu cooked by our Ukrainian team with fresh locally sourced ingredients.
Served from Monday to Saturday 12.30 - 2.30pm and Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 6pm

The Sunday Roast (Sep - May)
Our Sunday Roast has gained a solid following for it’s ‘best in class’, not just for it’s succulent locally sourced ingredients, but also its presentation Sunday Roasts! Taste is impactful and portions are generous, just like a Lion would want it!
Our Sunday Roasts have been replaced during the summer with our Smokehouse Barbecue and will return in September.
