Stay a While
Accommodation
Beyond the bustling bar, The Red Lion offers a retreat for weary travellers in its charming accommodation.
Ascending the stairs, guests are greeted by four uniquely appointed rooms, each named in homage to the renowned author Kenneth Grahame, who once called this village home. The Ratty, Badger, Toad, and Mole rooms blend rustic elegance with modern comfort, offering plush beds adorned with soft linens and windows that frame picturesque views of the village surroundings.
Please bare in mind when booking, the Red Lion is a listed building and the staircase to the bedrooms is fairly steep.

“I just loved everything about the stay at the Red Lion. If you are looking for a super friendly place to stay that is nothing like your corporate hotels then this is it. I felt it was like staying over with some old friends in their historic pub. John and Annabelle are fantastic hosts and did everything to make us feel at home.”
Simon - Hotels.com
“Great sized room and very comfy beds. A great pub for a few evening drinks too. Rooms weren’t too hot even in the middle of August. We loved our stay.”
